Dr. Robin Moore
 

Dr. Robin Moore was born the youngest of three children on December 6, 1956 to the late Withers McAlister Moore, a Navy Chaplain, and Betty, a homemaker. Due to her father’s military career, Robin has had the privilege of living and traveling throughout the world. She graduated from High School in London, England, and after a year in Conway at the University of Central Arkansas, moved with her parents to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Her first career was as an artist. She has designed infant and toddler clothing, toys, shoes and bottles; she has painted portraits and created children’s art; designed logos and t-shirt art; and she worked for a number of years in Washington, D.C. as Special Events Designer for a national company, creating sets and props for large budget theme parties. One of her final projects was the farewell dinner and ball hosted by the Republican Party in honor of President Ronald Reagan as he ended his final term as president.

Robin shares with her brother the distinction of being the 6th direct generation in her family to serve as ordained Methodist clergy in the state of Arkansas. She received a BS in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and Gerontology in 1992 from the University of the State of New York, and went on to earn a Master of Divinity degree in1995 from Memphis Theological Seminary, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, with honors in New Testament Studies. She completed her Doctorate of Ministry in 2004, also from Memphis Theological Seminary, with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation. Her Doctoral Project was Christian Network, a delivery system for lay ministry based on the use of Spiritual Gifts.

She has served her denomination in churches in Malvern (St. Paul, Adkins Memorial & Midway), West Memphis (FUMC, Associate Pastor), Little Rock (St. James, Executive Pastor), Charleston (FUMC), and again in Little Rock, where she served most recently for four years as Senior Minister at Trinity UMC.

Robin’s mother currently resides in Lonoke with her sister (Caryn). Her brother (Russell) lives and serves the UMC in Crossett. She has two adult children. Kie (31) who is married to Jeff Hill and lives in Russellville, where she is a stay-at-home mother for their two boys, Aaron and Brett. Robin’s son Andrew (29) is finishing his undergraduate degree at UALR and works as a Paralegal for a law firm in Little Rock. He intends to pursue a Law Degree following graduation. Robin is also the “mother” of two dogs (Brielle and Scarlett) and one cat (Graycee).
